Privacy Policy

Vident LLC is a company registered in New Jersey, United States. We build an AI-native operating platform for ETF trading and asset management, and we run a consulting practice alongside it. For anything in this policy, the contact is don@videntconsulting.com.

Research. The tool reads publicly available pages you point it at — a company site, a public biography, an article. Where a source cannot be read legitimately, it says so and asks for the information to be pasted in instead. It does not attempt to work around a site's access controls.

Drafting. A language model drafts a message from that research. Drafting is automatic; nothing is sent by drafting. Every draft remains editable before it goes anywhere.

Sending. A message is sent only when a named, authenticated person explicitly approves that specific message. Sending is never a side effect of generating a draft, and there is no automated or scheduled sending. Every send is subject to a hard daily limit and is recorded.

Records. We keep a record of what was researched, what was drafted and what was sent, so that any use of the tool can be reviewed afterwards. Those records may include personal information about the person being written to.

What we send. Vident sends text messages only to people who have asked us to, and only in order to send a link back to this website when you have requested one, to reply to a question or request you have made to us, and to communicate operationally with existing clients and design partners about work in progress. We do not send marketing or promotional messages, and we do not message anyone who has not opted in.

How you opt in. You are enrolled only when you affirmatively opt in, by completing the form at videntconsulting.com/sms and ticking the consent box. That box is never pre-checked and it is optional: the form can be submitted without it, in which case you are not enrolled and no message is sent. Consent is never a condition of doing business with us, and is never required in order to contact us.

Message frequency. Message frequency varies, and is typically low, because we message only in connection with the requests and relationships described above.

Cost. Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge you for messages; your mobile carrier's standard messaging and data rates apply to the messages you send and receive.

Opting out. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving messages from us. You will receive one confirmation message and then nothing further, unless you opt in again. You may also opt out by writing to don@videntconsulting.com or calling 860.205.9211.

Help. Reply HELP to any message, or contact us using the details above.

Your mobile information. Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. We may share your personal data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including platform providers, phone companies, and other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages.

Carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier's network and is not guaranteed.

Outreach records are retained so the tool's use can be audited. Correspondence you send us is kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting relationship.

You can ask us to delete what we hold about you at any time, and we will, unless we are required to keep it by law. Write to don@videntconsulting.com and say what you would like removed.

The outreach tool is private, reachable only by named people we have approved, and each of those people is authenticated individually. Credentials are held server-side and are never sent to a browser. Access can be revoked for any person at any time.

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes affecting how we handle your information will be made clear here rather than buried.
